  • What is the RPP?

    • The Road Pricing Professional (RPP) is a multidisciplinary credential established and maintained by IRPP that validates a individual's expertise across various aspects (e.g. technology, finance and policy) within the road pricing industry.

  • Who should pursue this credential?

    • It is designed for a diverse range of professionals, from recent graduates, to new practitioners and adjacent professionals who are make, or wish to make, road pricing systems succeed, including engineers, analysts, IT specialists, finance managers, data analysts, accountants, legislative specialists, public affairs and transport policy planners.

The Exam & Eligibility

  • When will the first testing window open?

    • IRPP is currently in the stage of curriculum validation.  Sign up for notifications to be the first to know when the launch date is announced.

  • I have 20+ years of experience in road pricing.  Do I have to take the foundational exam?

    • Professionals with significant industry contributions are eligible for the RPP Fellow designation. This is an appointed status for the "architects" of the industry, as determined by a combination of an interview, CV and career analysis. Fellows are eligible to be on the SMEAG.  

Costs & Maintenance

  • How much does the certification cost?

    • Pricing will be announced alongside the first testing window.  IRPP will offer individual rates as well as agency-wide professional development packages.
