The path to becoming RPP credentialed is designed to recognize expertize at every career stage, from emerging professionals just coming out of univeristy, to those who work adjacent to road pricing and want to enter the field, to seasoned specialists demonstrating mastery. The pathway a professional can take over her/his career is diagrammed below.

Steps

Step 1: Assess Your Path Begin by matching your experience to the right level:
- Foundation (RPP-F): New to the industry (0-2 years) or recent graduates.
- Practitioner (RPP-P): Established professionals with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Specialist (RPP-S): Technical experts with 5+ years of experience in a specific domain.
- Fellow: Senior leaders with 25+ years of industry-defining leadership.
Step 2: Prepare & Study Access RPP-BOK study guides, practice exams, and structured courses. Time investment ranges from 40 to 120 hours depending on the credential level.
Step 3: Take Your Exam Complete a rigorous, psychometrically validated assessment via computer-based testing or secure remote proctoring.
Step 4: Earn Your Credential Receive your digital badge, physical certificate, and listing in the public RPP Registry. Your credential is valid for three years.
Step 5: Maintain & Advance Keep your standing current by earning Continuing Education (CE) credits through conferences, training, and industry service.
